Electrodeposition of Nano Crystalline Zinc from Acid Bromide Bath and Characterisation

Zinc has been the widely used electrodeposits for protection against corrosion because of sacrificial action. Zinc bath to produce nano zinc coatings were optimised using Hull cell studies. Characterisations of the bath and deposits were performed. The surface morphology of the zinc deposits were studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The preferred orientation and average size of the zinc electrodeposited particles were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis.
