The causes of maternal mortality are multiple. In Morocco the women die because the complications arising during the labor and the delivery are unnoticed or are not well taken into consideration. Besides, they die by trying to interrupt an unwanted pregnancy, without having access to appropriate services. The objective of this study is to determine the profile of women aborted and to propose preventive remedies to complications and maternal death. The study concerns a not composite population of 509 women. They have aborted during the year 2007, at the Souissi maternity hospital of Rabat Morocco. The results of the present study show that 41%of the cases are referred for pelvic pain, the women between 18 and 35 years old are the most exposed to the risks of abortion, 97%of the patients represent spontaneous abortion and the risk of abortion is increased during the first quarter with a rate of 72%.Antibiotics and ocytocics are administered to 64% of women, the rate of women presenting discolored conjunctive reach 72 % this explains that the risk of anemia is increased.
