Synthesis and characterization of novel polyamide based adhesives

A new class of polyamides for adhesive application has been synthesized by condensation polymerization method using chemically modified diamines and diacids. The synthesized polymerswere characterized by FTIR and 1H NMR spectroscopic method. Viscosity and thermal studies were carried out by Ubbelohde viscometer and TGA respectively. Results showed that the new polyamide adhesives possess good thermal resistant property.
